Big Island Police Search For Wanted Man

Big Island police are searching Monday for a Ka'u man who they said was wanted on seven outstanding warrants with bail totaling $300,300.

According to police, Rodney Naiole Kahele, 45, was described as 6 feet, 1 inch and 180 pounds, with short black hair, brown eyes and numerous tattoos on his back, arms and legs.

Kahele was last seen in the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates area, but police said he may be in South Kona.

Anyone with information on Kahele's whereabouts is asked to call Officer Dane Shibuya at 808-939-2520, the police department's non-emergency line at 808-935-3311, or Crime Stoppers at 808-961-8300 in Hilo or 808-329-8181 in Kona.
