Cruise Ship Worker Found Floating In Water

Local police said a 27-year-old worker on a cruise ship that was docked in Nawiliwili Harbor was pulled from the water at Kalapaki Beach on Sunday afternoon.

Shortly after 2 p.m., police said a man was found floating face down in the water fronting Duke's Canoe Club.

Bystanders said they brought the man to shore and immediately administered CPR.

Paramedics and rescue crews said they continued CPR upon their arrival at the scene.

The victim was revived by the medics and officers said he was then taken to Wilcox Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
