Pasco County sheriff's detectives say Robert Ball held his estranged wife at knifepoint and forced her to have dinner with him at Golden Corral.

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. -

Authorities in Pasco County said a man trying to win back his wife ended up forcing her on a dinner date with him.

Pasco County sheriff's officials told a Tampa television station that Robert Ball invited his wife to his house to patch things up, but when she arrived, she told him she didn't love him anymore.

That's when Ball pulled out a knife and forced her to watch TV with him, detectives said. He then forced her to go to dinner with him at Golden Corral and even took her to Walmart, where he bought her shoes, detectives said.

The woman finally escaped after her father became suspicious and went to the house.
