Two Men Arrested, Two At-Large After Kauai Gas Station Robbery

KOLOA, Hawaii -

Two men were arrested in connection with a robbery that occurred at the Koloa Chevron gas station Wednesday morning, according to Kauai police.

Clarence Kane, age 21, of Koloa and 18-year-old Kalai Vicente of Kapaa, were arrested Wednesday morning for first-degree robbery.

They are currently being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Police are still looking for two male suspects who remain at-large.

The incident happened at about 2:20 a.m. when the four male subjects, disguised with facial paint, entered the convenience store and demanded cash from the lone employee.

According to police, the male employee was held at knifepoint and physically assaulted.

He suffered contusions to his face and body and was treated by medics at the scene.

The suspects took off with an undisclosed amount of cash, liquor and cigarettes before fleeing the scene on foot.

Police are asking for information on the two remaining male suspects.
