UH Officials Say "No Comment" on Coaching Position

Warriors Head Coach Greg McMackin, University of Hawaii Manoa Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw, and University of Hawaii Athletics Director Jim Donovan, met for approximately 90-minutes Sunday night, following the football team's annual awards banquet at the Sheraton Waikiki hotel.
According to sources, the position of football coach at the University of Hawaii was discussed, however, none of the three in the meeting provided any comment afterward.
Will there be a change? Will the school "stick by" its guy?
At the earliest according to sources, any official comment by UH on what was discussed during that meeting could be made mid-Monday.
McMackin has one year remaining on his current contract that pays him $1.1 million per year, and his Warriors just concluded a disappointing 6-7 season Saturday night, with a 41-20 loss to BYU.
McMackin's future as head coach, over at least the past three weeks, has been both "the White Elephant" and the hot topic at many water coolers across the state.
