Bob's Big Boy in Mapunapuna shut down after a fire in April 2009. The restaurant opened in 1975. Bob's is famous for its breakfast, hamburgers, hot fudge cake and strawberry pie.
Bob's was renamed Bob's Big Bear Diner and found a new location in the Waipahu Town Center at the former Sizzler's location at 94-030 Farrington Highway.
Many former employees of Bob's Big Boy Hawaii are back at work.
On Jan. 18, Bob's Big Bear Diner hosted its first Cruise Night with BLEIZN FX Hot Rods and Classic Cars.
