Interview with Des
I think we were all sad and shocked to see Des go home on Monday. Sean clarified in the Tell All special that Des and him lacked what he had with the other women. I wanted to know what she thought of their relationship and how she really felt about how her brother acted towards Sean.
Des doesn’t think that her brother helped her chances with Sean but she is not mad at her brother (despite what is being said on twitter). She isn’t close to her brother (only sees him once a year) and they are very different from one another. Her brother was skeptical about the whole situation (he doesn’t like reality TV) and he is very opinionated and protective over her (Des said he eventually wants to become a minister…uh what?!?! Do ministers say, “Let me holla at you?”).
Des didn’t think that her brother would have taken it to the level that he did though and she thought Sean handled himself well despite her brother’s attack. She completely disagrees with her brother and doesn’t think that Sean is a play boy at all; it’s the circumstance that he is in (dating 25 girls). She said that everything happened for a reason and it always works out for the better…her and Sean just weren’t mean to be.
Des did feel like she had her guard up and it was hard sharing a :boyfriend." She held back a lot because she really wanted to make sure that Sean was right for her. They did have a natural chemistry from the beginning but looking back, she does see that Sean also had great relationships with other girls. It was really hard to share so much with him in such a short amount of time. Des felt like Sean made a mistake by sending her home but now she can see why he did but she still hopes to get a better explanation at the Women Tell All.
Des gave a little lowdown on the final three…she said that AshLee is more intense than Catherine and Lindsay and she doesn’t think that Sean is looking for that. In her opinion, Catherine and Lindsay both have a more playful side and they both possess more of what Sean wants. Des believes that Sean will end up with the right girl no matter what.
She has remained her positive self and since her departure, she has moved on from Sean. She’s not dating right now and hopes to keep focusing on herself. Des has not talked to Sean since leaving the show but is still close to Lindsay, Daniella and Jackie.
Des would say yes if producers asked her to become the next bachelorette (I think she would be a great bachelorette). She knows that the feelings on the show are real and believes that this show does work. Would you guys want to see Des as the next Bachelorette? Or who do you think it should be?
Make sure to tune in next Monday to find out who will go home next! Make sure to continue to check kitv.com for all of your bachelor updates!
