KANEOHE, Hawaii -

Production for the Hawaii-filmed ABC show "Last Resort" is in full swing.  The show is about the crew of a renegade U.S. submarine.

KITV's Mahealani Richardson went behind the scenes and met some of the stars of the show.

"It's going to be an exciting ride," said actor Robert Patrick.

Patrick is best known for his role in "Terminator 2: Judgement Day."  "Last Resort" is a different ride for the actor.

"To steal from one of my co-stars, Schwarzenegger:  it's going to be a rollercoaster," said Patrick.

From the tight confines of a submarine to an exotic island in the middle of the Indian Ocean.

"I'm not claustrophobic at all," said actor Scott Speedman.  "But I think I'd do terrible.  The rules; the regulations; that would not be my best friend."

On this day, the crew shoots a scene at a compound on the island.  Many of the actors had to move here for the show.

"I live in Hawaii and it's kind of a shock because I came to do a job and now I live in Hawaii," said actor Andre Braugher.

Behind The Scenes on 'Last Resort'

Producers are using Molii fishponds at Kualoa Ranch for several different scene ad you may recognize this area from the movie "Tears Of The Sun" starring Bruce Willis and, most recently, ABC's "Lost."

"My challenge being from Australia is being true to the American accent and true to the Navy SEALs," said actor Daniel Lissing.

Lissing was once named Australia's Sexiest Bloke.

"Once I lear the lines I'm fine.  I can talk with an American accent, no problem," said Lissing.

But, can he do pidgin English?  Mahealani and Daniel share a laugh together as he tries to speak pidgin and she tries to do an Australian accent.

The cast of "Last Resort say they're taking in everything Hawaii has to offer while working on what some are calling one of the hottest new shows of the season.
