Updated On: Jun 13 2013 07:07:56 AM HST
The National Weather Service says a high surf advisory is in effect for the east-facing shores of most islands.
The advisory is set to end at 6 p.m. Friday.
Surf will have 6-to-8-foot face heights on east-facing shores.
Expect strong breaking waves, shore break and strong longshore and rip currents making swimming difficult and dangerous.
