Jack Johnson announced on Tuesday the addition of a hometown performance at the Waikiki Shell in Honolulu on Friday, Aug. 1, a benefit for the Kokua Hawaii Foundation.
This show marks his first time playing Hawaii in over two years, as well as his first performance at the Waikiki Shell in over four years since hosting the popular Kokua Festivals.
Tickets will be made available online and at the Main Blaisdell box office for Hawaii residents only on May 10 at 10 a.m. Credit cards will need to have a Hawaii billing zip code. General sale tickets will then be made available with no geographic limitations on May 11 at 10 a.m. There is a 4 ticket per person limit.
Tickets will be $64.50 for the pit and reserved seating. Lawn seating will cost $34.50.
Johnson is on tour in support of his sixth studio album, From Here To Now To You, which debuted #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, Johnson’s fourth chart-topping album to date. In celebration of Earth Day, Jack released the "From Here To Now To You Live EP." This 6 track EP features live tracks from Johnson’s theater tour last fall. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the "From Here To Now To You Live EP," as well as from the Oahu concert, will benefit Johnson's Kokua Hawai'i Foundation.
Johnson and his All At Once campaign are collaborating with over 130 hand-chosen community groups across North America to support sustainable local food systems and plastic free initiatives during his 2014 headline tour. During the tour, The Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation will match donations to these All At Once Non-Profit Partners, up to a total of $2,500 per group. All At Once comes to life at the shows in the Village Green, where concert-goers connect with local non-profits, take environmental action, capture environmental commitment photos, and enter to win a chance to watch Jack Johnson’s performance from the stage. Visit www.AllAtOnce.org for additional information.
Jack Johnson's From Here To Now To You Tour continues to pave the way in green touring practices and community engagement initiatives. Green actions include fueling tour vehicles with sustainable biodiesel, offering eco-friendly tour merchandise, sourcing food from local farms, and promoting ride share, mass transit and bike valet programs in addition to engaging venues and fans to eliminate single-use plastics, recycle, use water refill stations and invest in community-based carbon offset projects.
