State taking back unused prescription drugs
Hawaii residents will be able to get rid of unused or expired prescription medications at collection sites across the state.
Prescription drugs can be dropped off -- no questions asked -- on Saturday at collection sites on Oahu, Kauai, Maui and the Big Island.

Tablets, capsules and all other solid dosage forms of medication will be accepted anonymously.
The state attorney general's office says it's an opportunity to safely dispose of accumulated prescription drugs.
Since September 2010, Hawaii, Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands have collected more than 8,000 pounds of expired and unused prescription drugs.
The initiative is a partnership between the attorney general's office, the state Department of Public Safety and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
