Makani Kai Air will offer five daily round trip flights between Honolulu and Molokai beginning Saturday, June 8.
The airline currently offers twice daily service between Honolulu and Kalaupapa six days a week and one round trip on Sundays.
"We are encouraged by the response from the Molokai community," said Richard Schuman, president of Makani Kai Air. "Since we began our service to Kalaupapa two years ago, there has been a tremendous amount of support for Makani Kai. Our passengers enjoy the convenience and reliability we offer. Time was, people used to enjoy air travel. We want to bring that back."
Located at 130 Iolana Place along Lagoon Drive, Makani Kai Air offers customers ultimate convenience, said Schuman.
"We’re on the other side of the airport, away from the terminals and congestion. Parking is handy and nearby, so we recommend people arrive just 15 minutes prior to departure," said Schuman.
