One-hundred and ninety people will no longer have a job after Price Busters announced Friday it is closing all eight of its Hawaii stores.
The company said the stores will shut down by mid-January.
Retail Partners Hawaii LLC was formed in 2010 and purchased Price Busters out of bankruptcy in November with the goal of turning it around.
Company officials cited online competition and increasing business costs, such as health care, as a reason for the closure.
The company will liquidate all of its inventory during the holidays.
