OMAHA, Neb. -

Police were called early Friday to reports of a shooting at a Nebraska mall where nine people were killed five years ago.

Officers were sent to Westroads Mall after people inside called 911 to report gunfire around 1 a.m. Friday.  Authorities said they received six calls from people at Westroads, most of which reported shots had been fired.

Witnesses told Omaha TV station KETV that the incident happened near Younkers on the west side of the mall.

Officer James Shade confirmed a fight did happen at the mall Friday, but no shots were fired.  Shade said customers heard the sounds of trash cans being knocked over.

Police said no one was injured, but one person was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct.

KETV said it received reports of customers running from the mall and others hiding in store bathrooms.

A separate incident at the Oak View Mall in Omaha had people there on edge as well.  Authorities confirmed 13 calls to 911 from people at that mall around 2:45 a.m.  Most of the calls reported gunfire also.

Police said a scuffle ensued after a shoplifter attempted to mace security guards at a store.  That person was taken into custody.

Police said no shots were fired at either mall.

Robert Hawkins, 19, killed eight people and himself at Westroads' Von Maur store on Dec. 5, 2007.
