A sheriff's office statement said 36-year-old Lamark Tucker Sr. jumped on the car as his ex-girlfriend tried to leave her home Saturday night. Tucker held on for nearly 10 miles and threatened to harm her. Authorities said the woman tried to stop for help and at one point fired once through the windshield, striking Tucker.

The woman told officials that Tucker was her ex-boyfriend and their three children were not in the car at the time.
