Robert De Niro crashes stranger's World Cup party

Celebrity sightings are common in New York, but what if one of the world's biggest actors was spotted...on your couch?

Robert De Niro took a break from filming his new movie in Brooklyn yesterday to watch the World Cup match between the U.S. and Germany.

Business Insider reports that a resident of the Cobble Hill neighborhood said their apartment building got an email from Warner Bros. asking if they could help De Niro see the game.

According to the resident, the email read, "Would it be possible to place a small portable satellite on the building rooftop ASAP and run a cable to the street to help facilitate this request?"

However, the crew sent out another email stating that De Niro was invited to a nearby house to watch the game with locals instead and he ended up joining them.
