An Arizona woman got the ride of her life after falling asleep in a trash bin that was loaded into a garbage truck as it made its morning rounds.

The garbage truck driver made 10 more stops Wednesday morning and compacted the load eight to 10 times before realizing the woman's plight, the Globe Police Department told Phoenix TV station KPHO.

As the vehicle pulled into a parking lot, a bystander heard a voice and saw a head pop out of the truck, fire authorities said.

The driver immediately shut down the truck and called 911.

The 38-year-old woman, identified as Jessica Bunyar, was found in the vehicle's storage compartment, according to KPHO.

She was listed in stable condition at Maricopa Medical Center.
