Wife of fallen Hotshot firefighter gives birth
The wife of one of the 18 Hotshot firefighters killed while battling a wildfire in Arizona earlier this summer has given birth to their son.
Sean and Amanda Misner had wanted to name the boy Jaxon.
But that all changed June 30, when Sean Misner, 26, died while fighting the Yarnell Hill fire near Prescott.
Amanda Misner named their son Sean Jaxon Herbert Misner after his father and grandfather, Phoenix TV station KPHO reported.
She said he'll go by the name Jaxon.
Sean Misner joined the Granite Mountain Hotshots crew in April.
The night before he died, he laid next to his wife's belly so his son could hear his voice, fearing the boy would not know him because he was gone so much fighting fires, according to KPHO.
"Jax" is the first of three babies expected to be born to widows of the Hotshot crew.
