Nicole Dehn has suffered from epileptic seizures since she was 6 months old, and for the last eight years she's faced pangs of sadness when passing a small grove of trees on the road near her Jacksonville, Fla., home.

A car accident left her without a driver’s license and forced her to depend on others for rides to work and to run errands.

They're a constant reminder of the day epilepsy took her life in a different direction.

Running out of options and wanting to regain control of her life, Nicole underwent laser surgery to help end her seizures.

After a successful surgery she has been able to finally live the life she wants – and even was able to get her driver’s license back.
