WAIMEA, Hawaii -

Waimea Middle School, Waimea Elementary School, Honokaa High and Intermediate School, and Honokaa Elementary went into lockdown Monday morning, according to Waimea Middle School officials.

At 1:13 p.m., the "all clear" was given to resume classes.  The lockdown was announced to the media just after 10:30 a.m.

Police took into custody the person suspected of making a threat.

Investigators say someone made a text threat on Sunday to an individual.  Police is not sure how the individual is related to the schools.

The threat was reported to police on Monday.

During the lockdown, school officials said to avoid the campuses while police investigated.
