Be on alert when you get call from a person claiming to be a court employee.  The Hawaii State Judiciary is warning the public of an apparent telephone scam.

According to The Associated Press, the so-called "court employee" leaves a voice mail message saying they're calling in regards to a protective order case.  They request for your Social Security number and date of birth.

The judiciary said they don't call parties to obtain that kind of information.  Anyone who receives this calls should report it to police.
