Bethel St. reopened after waterline leak repaired

Board of Water Supply (BWS) crews responded early Thursday morning to a waterline leak in Downtown Honolulu on Bethel Street. KITV4's Ryan Kalei Tsuji reports live from the scene where repair work closed off the area.

HONOLULU -

One lane was closed on Bethel Street Thursday morning between Merchant Street and King Street in Downtown Honolulu due to a water leak, according to the Board of Water Supply.

Crews determined the source of the leak is from a waterline that is not in active use by customers.

The leak was reported at around 1 a.m.  Just before 6:45 a.m., repairs were completed to the waterline.

Just before 11 a.m., the roadway was reopened.
