KAILUA, Hawaii -

The Board of Water Supply says crews are responding to a 6-inch main break at 459 Kalama Street in the Kailua area Monday morning.

Approximately 120 customers are without water service at this time. Two fire hydrant spigots are available to affected as an alternate water source.

The makai bound lane on Kalama Street is closed near the Oneawa Street intersection. Commuters are advised to avoid the area if at all possible.

A repair crew will soon begin excavation work to determine the extent of the repair.
