The Molokai bread is hot and baking again after Kanemitsu's Bakery was given the go-ahead to reopen on Friday, Nov. 16.
According the island's only newspaper, The Molokai Dispatch, state health officials gave a bakery a passing grade in an inspection on Friday.
Volunteers and contractors spent about 80 hours making improvements to the bakery since its permit was suspended.
Back in September, the bakery failed its health inspection for a second time.
By September, the bakery had been closed for about three months.
Health inspectors said the bakery corrected some of the issues since its June health inspection.
In September, health inspectors said problems like uneven floors and openings in the walls and ceilings still needed to be fixed.
