Honolulu firefighters were busy early Friday morning working to put out a fire at The Cheesecake Factory at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center in Waikiki.
The fire started just before 3:30 a.m. in the kitchen of the restaurant and quickly spread through the ventilation system.
The restaurant's cleaning crew heard an explosion and discovered the fire.
The cleaning crew tried to put out the flames but the fire was just too big.
Flames were visible from the fourth floor of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center.
Fire officials say most of the damage was caused by smoke.
No injuries were reported and the fire was extinguished by 5:30 a.m.
The Cheesecake Factory was closed on Friday.
The restaurant opened in Waikiki in 2004.
This restaurant is one of the top-grossing in the company's chain.
