The first call for the fire on Kukila Street came in at around 5:30 p.m.
When fire crews arrived, the home was in engulfed in flames.
Neighbors say the entire home was on fire within a matter of minutes.
The smoke was so thick, you could barely see anything in the Foster Village neighborhood.
The fire was brought until control by 5:55 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
Fire officials say an Army couple with two young boys had rented the home about a month ago. One of the vehicles destroyed in the fire had California license plates.
Damage is estimated at $350,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
