A Kaneohe family is homeless after fire gutted their three-bedroom home Thursday morning.
The home at the intersection of Aeloa and Ohala Streets was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived shortly before 9:30 am., according to fire officials.
Seven family members were home at the time of the fire.
A man in his late 30s was taken to the hospital in serious condition for smoke inhalation, according to Emergency Medical Services officials.
A woman in her late 50s, who had a preexisting medical condition that was made worse by the fire, was also taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Three children were also at the house at the time of the fire. An 8-year-old girl, a 5-year-old boy and a 1-year-old boy were all treated at the scene.
The American Red Cross is helping the family with emergency needs for food, shelter and clothing.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
