Just before 10 a.m., a broken hydrant lateral caused some flooding on Kapiolani Boulevard near Cooke Street.
The eastbound lanes on Kapiolani Boulevard between Cooke Street and Ward Avenue had already been closed by a contractor doing previously scheduled road work in the area.
Water to the hydrant was restored at 1 p.m.
The Board of Water Supply says the damaged hydrant lateral was caused by the contractor.
