Approximately 25 homes were without water service. A water wagon was dispatched to provide water to the affected customers. The break to the 8-inch water main was reported at approximately 2:15 a.m. The water main was installed in 1965.

Water service was restored by noon.  Kahuwai Street remains closed between Kahu Street and Kahuapili Street as crews conduct repairs to the roadway.  Barring unforseen circumstances, the road should be reopened in the early evening.
