Three victims of a brazen shooting in the Seventh Ward on Mother's Day are in critical condition at the LSU Interim Hospital, officials told WDSU.
Marvin McGraw, a spokesman for the hospital, said the three victims are in critical condition but the injuries were not life-threatening.
Of the 19 victims in total, 11 were taken to the LSU Interim Hospital. Other victims were taken to other area hospitals.
McGraw said one person was listed in stable condition and seven had been discharged.
All of the victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, New Orleans police said.
The victims included 10 adult men, 7 adult women, a 10-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy, police said. At least four people were in surgery mid-afternoon Sunday and patients had been taken to four area hospitals.
New Orleans police are looking for a person in connection with the shooting.
Surveillance video of the incident was released Monday morning.
New Orleans Police Department Superintendent Ronal Serpas said one of the shooters appeared to be a dark-skinned man, 18-22 years old, with short hair and wearing a white shirt and blue jean shorts.
A person fitting that description was seen in the surveillance video released Monday morning.
