While you were sleeping, three water main breaks plagued Oahu. 200 customers in Kailua have been without water since 5 a.m. Saturday due to a 12-inch water main break.
Aikahi Loop at Mokapu Road is closed. Drivers may use Ilihau Street or go through the Safeway parking lot.
Board of Water supply crews are on scene trying to repair that broken main and reopen the road. A water wagon is available for residents along Old Mokapu Road.
Crews also spent the night repairing a leak in an 8-inch water main on Waialae Avenue.
It happened Friday night around 10:30 p.m. and left about 30 customers without water until 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Only one lane of Waialae between Kapahulu Avenue and 1st Avenue will be open while crews complete repairs.
Finally, crews were also repairing a leaking water main on Monsarrat near Campbell Avenue. Water was fully restored by 7 a.m. Saturday.
They've been able to keep a reduced flow of water running through the main, which was originally installed in 1928, so all customers still have water service.
The Makai-bound lane of Monsarrat between Campbell and Kanaian Avenues will be closed until this afternoon for road repair.
