3-year-old found floating in resort pool rescued by guests
What could have been a tragic accident turned into an act of heroism after a toddler nearly drowned at a resort pool.
Maui fire crews said a 3-year-old girl was found floating in the pool at the Honua Kai Resort in Kaanapali around noon Saturday.
A registered nurse and firefighter paramedic, both visiting from California, pulled the girl from the pool and worked to resuscitate her until paramedics arrived.
The girl was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
Fire officials say the men did exactly what was needed to save the girl's life.
