7.0-magnitude quake hits Peru coast; no tsunami threat for Hawaii
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says there is no tsunami threat for the Pacific Ocean and Hawaii after a 7.0-magnitude earthquake on the coast of Peru Wednesday morning.
The quake struck about 29 miles south of Acari, Peru at around 6:43 a.m. HST., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries in Peru.
