Two men, who are brothers, were arrested Friday morning at the Honolulu International Airport in connection with the sexual assault of a child, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

The U.S. Marshals Task Force along with law enforcement officers from Customs and Border Patrol, Homeland Security Investigations, Hawaii State Sheriffs and the Honolulu Police Department located and apprehended 43 year-old Tarius Manuere and 40 year-old Noah Manuere without incident at around 5:10 a.m.

On Jan. 8, an arrest warrant was issued by the State of Texas Navarro County for the Manuere brothers charging them with Aggravated Sexual Assault of a child, a first-degree felony.

The alleged crime occurred over a period of time.  The alleged female juvenile victim is a relative to the Manuere brothers.  The victim is currently four months pregnant and the father is suspected to be one of the brothers.

The suspects were aware of the allegations and fled Corsicana, Texas on Sunday.

North Texas Fugitive Task Force learned through their investigations that the suspects were in route to Majuro Islands and referred the case to Hawaii authorities.

Both were booked into Honolulu Police Department Central Receiving Desk pending an extradition hearing back to Texas.  They are scheduled to appear in court on Monday, March 18.

The U.S. Marshals Hawaii Fugitive Task Force is comprised of U.S. Marshals, Hawaii High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area, Hawaii State Sheriffs Department, Maui Police Department, Hawaii County Police Department, Honolulu Police Department, Honolulu Prosecutor's Office and Kauai Police Department.
