Two men were arrested for allegedly abusing a mentally disabled homeless man in an attack that was caught on video, has learned.

Nicholas Marr, 26, and William Gregory, 30, told the man they'd pay him $20 if Marr could slap Gregory on video, according to a release issued Wednesday by the Indian River County Sheriff's Office.

Marr (below left) ended up punching the man in the face, knocking him to the ground, where he lay unconscious, the release said.

Gregory videotaped the September incident and posted it on Facebook, the release said. A concerned citizen saw the video and reported it to sheriff's deputies.

Sheriff Deryl Loar called it one of the most hideous crimes he's ever seen.

"Our investigation led in fact that this victim was mentally challenged, which enhanced the penalties," Loar said.

Both men are free on bond.
