Trying to perfect parallel parking is already a struggle for many people wishing to secure a driver’s license. For German stunt driver Ronny Wechselberger, parallel parking is trouble-free, especially when he’s maneuvering a car into the tightest spaces.
Wechselberger regained the Guinness World title for the tightest parallel parking job, when he managed to slide his way into two vehicles with only 5.51 inches of space to spare. His new record bested China’s Han Yue, who holds a 5.91-inch benchmark.
In the video, Wechselberger drifted and stuffed his 3.54-meter black Volkswagen Up into a thin 3.68-meter narrow gap, with only 13.8-centimeter leftover space.
The skilled wheelsman previously held the record with 10.2 inches of space in 2011 until Han Yue beat his record last May. Wechselberger’s video has been watched more than 165,000 times since it was posted on YouTube.
