HONOLULU -

The Honolulu Department of the Medical Examiner released Wednesday the identity of the 14-year-old girl who died after a multiple vehicle crash in Ewa Beach.

Kawehi Adkins-Kupukaa from Ewa Beach died from blunt force head trauma in the crash on Kaimalie Street near Fort Weaver Road on Tuesday.  She was a front-seat passenger in a GMC Envoy.

A 16-year-old boy driving the Envoy was, at last check, in critical condition with head an internal injuries, according to police.  A 14-year-old boy, who was a back seat passenger in the Envoy, was in serious condition with head and internal injuries.  A 41-year-old woman from Ewa Beach driving a Porsche sports utility vehicle that collided with the Envoy was also in serious condition, according to police.

Investigators say they believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.

This was the 54th traffic fatality on Oahu this year compared with 49 at the same time last year.
