Having a line of Christmas lights on their lawn to show their holiday spirit would be enough for some families , but an Idaho family chose to send their season’s greetings in a grand way.
The Cadger family decorated their Meridian home with nearly 40,000 lights and programmed a 6-hour dancing lightshow for the passersby to see. The multi-colored electric lights flashed in time with the dubstep music.
“We have around 35,000 lights and 80 Light-O-Rama channels, and it’s all done by me – a 17-year-old and my dad”, the YouTube uploader said.
The blinking lights were synched to Skrillex’s “Cinema” and “Bangarang”. According to the Cadgers, they wrapped the exterior of their house with more than 2 miles of extension cords and Christmas lights. They shaped the lights into pines trees, candy canes, and laid the word ‘Joy’ on their home’s siding.
The video, which was posted on YouTube on November 28, has been watched more than a million times.
