Fire officials: Leeward Oahu brush fires intentionally set

Firefighters responded to several different brush fire calls early this morning. KITV4's Ryan Kalei Tsuji has the latest from Nanakuli.

WAIANAE, Hawaii -

Honolulu police are asking for the public's help to find the person or persons responsible for setting at least seven brush fires in Leeward Oahu early Wednesday morning.

Fire crews got the initial call at around 3:15 a.m.

When they arrived at Lualualei Naval Road, firefighters found at least three brush fires going.

The final brush fire was extinguished on Helelua Street at around 5:30 a.m.

Investigators believe the fires were intentionally set.
