The National Weather Service canceled a flood advisory for the island of Kauai Saturday.

The advisory was posted primarily for Polihale, Haena, Wainiha, Na Pali State Park, Kalalau Valley, Princeville, Kokee State Park and Hanalei.

The Kauai County Department of Public Works said the Kekaha landfill is closed and greenwaste is not being accepted at county facilities because of the wet weather. In addition, the Hanapepe transfer station is not accepting scrap metal.

A severe thunderstorm watch is also in effect for the island of Kauai until 8 p.m. Saturday, along with a flash flood watch until 6 a.m. Sunday.
