DELAND, Fla. -

Three men are in custody after a home invasion robbery near DeLand.

Sheriff's deputies arrested 25-year-old Jose Santana, 19-year-old James Tailor and 31-year-old Jason Allen after investigators said they burst into a home in Daytona Park Estates Monday, where the victim was home with his 1-year-old child.

The armed men allegedly stole $5,000 from the victim and took off.

The victim rushed to a neighbor's house and dropped the child off. The neighbor called 911.

Caller: He said, "Take my baby. Take my baby. I was just held up at gun point."

According to a news release, the victim gave chase and led deputies to the trio.

The neighbor relayed to the dispatcher what was happening during the incident.

Caller: He said he's got them. I think he either wrecked them, or I don't know what he did.

Caller: He knows I have a gun. He wanted me to pull my gun out and fire it in the air.

Dispatcher: Yeah, that's not a good idea.

Allen was treated for a minor injury to his right leg after being bitten by the K-9.

During a jail strip search, officers found Santana had a gunshot wound in his private area. They said Santana was vague about how it happened.

Investigators said they don't believe the incident was random, but they are still searching for a motive.

All three men were charged with armed home invasion and grand theft.

Tailor and Santana were also charged with possession of marijuana over 20 grams after the drug was found in a backpack in the area where they were captured along with a BB gun.

Allen was also charged with possession of a controlled substance after a baggie with some pills was found in his pocket and he was also arrested on a violation of probation warrant.

Officials are still searching for a fourth person who fled the area before deputies arrived.
