The canonization of Mother Marianne Cope will make Vatican history, and two native cultures are celebrating the lives of two special future saints.

ROME, Italy -

The American Embassy in Rome is ecstatic that this canonization will include two American saints:  Mother Marianne and Kateri Takakwitha, a Mohawk-Algonquin missionary.

Leimomi Ho's halau has been practicing for this evening's reception for the two delegations.

Leimomi is my kumu, as well, and is excited about seeing the Native American dances.
