H-3 Kaneohe-bound lanes reopened after vehicle fire

KANEOHE, Hawaii -

Honolulu police say the H-3 Freeway heading to Kaneohe was closed shortly after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday due to a vehicle fire.

The burning vehicle was located on the Kaneohe side of the Harano Tunnel but before the Hospital Rock Tunnel.

At one point, the Harano Tunnel was filled with smoke.

No serious injuries were reported.  The freeway was reopened at around 2:45 p.m.
