Justin Wynn Klein, 37, is being investigated for the attempted murder of a Japanese visitor in Kalalau Valley on Kauai's North Shore Sunday.

Kauai police, along with Kauai fire and state land crews, spent the last two days clearing the valley of campers who could be located.

Perry also thanked those who contacted police about Klein's possible whereabouts.  CrimeStoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for anyone with information that leads to the arrest of Klein.  You can call Kauai Police at 241-1711 or call CrimeStoppers at 241-1887.

The Kalalau Trail at the Ke'e Beach trailhead remains closed until further notice.
