Kauai police looking for missing man, woman
The Kauai Police Department says it is continuing to search for a man and woman who were reported missing earlier this month.
Police do not believe the cases are related.
Izabela Kozak, 32, of Kapaa, has not made contact with her family since Nov. 16, 2012, and they are concerned for her welfare.
Kozak is 5-feet-3-inches-tall and weighs roughly 110 pounds. She has brown eyes, brown dreadlock hair, a thin build and fair complexion.
Ilya Nikolayevich Lomov, 42, was reported missing on Wednesday, Jan. 9.
Lomov was last seen on Jan. 2 in the Kalalau Valley. He has not returned home to California or made contact with his family since.
Lomov had a camping permit for several campsites on the North Shore. His permit was valid from Dec. 29 through Jan. 3.
Lomov is 6-feet-2-inches-tall and weighs roughly 220 pounds. He has brown eyes, brown hair, a heavy build and a light tan complexion.
"We continue to ask the public to be on the lookout for both of these individuals," stated Assistant Chief Roy Asher. "And should you have any information on their possible locations, please contact police immediately."
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either Izabela Kozak or Ilya Lomov is urged to call KPD Dispatch at 241-1711, Investigative Services Bureau, 241-1696, or Crime Stoppers, 241-1887.
