A male nurse accused of sexually abusing a Coast Guard crew member docked at a Marshall Islands Atoll was scheduled to appear in a Honolulu federal courtroom Tuesday, according to the FBI.
Court documents said Dennis Henry was charged with aggravated sexual abuse.
The FBI said Henry put a prescription sedative into the beer of a male crew member of the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Sequoia in March and sexually assaulted him.
The Sequoia was at the Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands.
A blood sample found that Ambien was in the crew member's system. He told investigators he woke up dazed and in pain.
Henry claims he and the crew member had consensual sex.
