Epic eye roll

What was she thinking?

Michelle Obama's apparent eye roll at Speaker John Boehner during the inaugural luncheon  has the Internet buzzing over a possible topic that prompted the First Lady's disapproving signal.

Lip-reading experts were even called in to understand Boehner's comment that triggered Michelle Obama's displeased expression.

Michelle Obama was seated at the head table in between her husband and Boehner, who were having a lighthearted exchange.

Wishing to solicit opinion, Boehner tapped Michelle Obama on the shoulder while she ate her lunch. Michelle Obama did not say any word, but gave the Speaker an eye roll.

Lip reader Larry Wenig guessed that Boehner probably asked President Obama about smoking, a habit that the President supposedly kicked years ago. Boehner's spokesperson, however, brushed off the lip reader's conclusion.

Her response swirls speculation on the rather contentious relationship between President Obama and Boehner, who have opposing stances over the controversial fiscal cliff and debt ceiling proposals.

Even so, President Obama hinted at the congressional luncheon that Boehner and his wife agreed on one thing – to keep his speech short.

"Michelle and the speaker of the House came to a meeting of the minds that I may be delaying the proceedings too much. And so, I'm just going to be extraordinarily brief and say thank you," he said.

Michelle Obama's epic eye roll has already racked up more than 2.7 million views on YouTube.
