A Clifton family who gave away their blind dog got a sweet surprise.

Two years ago, the Sloan family adopted Carrot. The hound was blind in her left eye and with two small children, they decided to give her to another family in Price Hill.

Last week, Carrot came back to the Sloans.

"It looks like she was coming home. She was found two blocks away. She could have run in any other direction but she chose to come to Clifton,” Kristen Sloan said.

Carrot was malnourished but the Sloans nursed her back to health.

They said they were so surprised to have her home. Now that their kids are older, they said they aren’t about to make the same mistake twice. The Sloans have decided to keep Carrot.
