HOUMA, La. -

Police in Houma arrested a man after they said he pulled a gun on his girlfriend and forced her to get in his vehicle Saturday night.

The woman was unharmed after police were notified and tracked down the vehicle.

Police arrested 25-year-old Joshua Lee in connection with the incident.

According to the Houma Police Department, Lee pulled a gun on a woman in the 300 block of Jane Avenue about 7 p.m. Saturday and forced her to get in his vehicle.

Police said they found Lee’s vehicle at a nearby hotel and found Lee outside, who then fled on foot.

Officers said they chased Lee for a short time and detained him. Lee’s girlfriend was shaken up, police said, but unharmed.

Once in custody, police said, Lee began threatening officers, telling them that he would kill them when he got out of jail.

The insults didn’t stop there, according to police.

Police said that Lee exposed himself to officers while he was being booked, continuously making threats to them.

Lee was arrested on one count each of resisting an officer by flight, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, obscenity and public intimidation.

Police said Lee had outstanding warrants on charges of felony theft and trespassing.
