Police search for suspect in two armed robberies

Man believed to have robbed the Pearl City Market on Oct. 9. He is described as a Polynesian man in his 30's, standing 6'0" tall, weighing 200-220 lbs, with short black hair. HONOLULU -

The Honolulu Police Department needs your help in finding a man involved in two armed robberies at a Pearl City and  Waipahu store.

Polcie believe the same man was responsible for both robberies that both occured on Tuesday October 9.

According to Crimestoppers, the first robbery occurred at the Pearl City Market on Lehua Avenue  just after 4:30 p.m.

They say the unknown man entered the store and robbed the cashier using a handgun before fleeing on foot.

The second robbery happened a little while later at 6:15 p.m. at the

The suspect in both cases is described as a Polynesian man in his 30's with short black hair. He has an estimated height of 6'0" and weighs between 200-220 lbs.

He was seen wearing a green long-sleeve shirt and gray pants a the Pearl City robbery and a white t-shirt with blue board shorts at the Waipahu incident.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call Crimestoppers at 955-8300.
